Description
We designed and developed a lightweight ETFE automated dome, offering a stunning visual effects display while prioritizing safety and coordination. This 20,000m² (216,000ft²) dome, positioned atop an existing glass roof, features a 60-meter diameter half-sphere composed of independently automated triangles. These panels are programmed to open and close as desired by the operator, providing an outdoor ambiance to one of Mexico’s most important retail outlets. Designed by the renowned Mexican architectural firm Sordo Madaleno, this is now the largest automated roof in Latin America.
